Basketball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 76-59 fall against the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Rangers are ranked 108th).

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

While Marshall had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
