Softball Recap: Alvarado Sets Scoring Season-High Against Graford

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alvarado). They were the clear victor by a 13-7 margin over the Graford Rabbits on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Alvarado got a big performance out of Payton Slovak, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that Slovak stole this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanyon Barlow, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Alvarado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Alvarado's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Graford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Alvarado will face off against Springtown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvarado will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Graford, they will take on Arlington Heights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
