Basketball Game Preview: Picayune Maroon Tide vs. Pass Christian Pirates + How To Watch

The Picayune Maroon Tide will challenge the Pass Christian Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Picayune will be strutting in after a victory while Pass Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Picayune took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against St. Martin by a score of 47-36. The win continues a trend for the Maroon Tide in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won three in a row.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Pass Christian and Biloxi meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Pirates took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Pass Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Picayune, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Picayune barely slipped by Pass Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 50-49. Will the Maroon Tide repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
