Basketball Recap: Poteau Takes a Loss

Poteau lost against Sallisaw back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Poteau Pirates fell 54-43 to the Sallisaw Black Diamonds. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Poteau now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Sallisaw, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poteau and Eufaula will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sallisaw, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Valliant at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
