Volleyball Recap: Camila Rodriguez Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat San Francisco Christian

Pescadero extended their road winning streak to four games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Quill Markegard. The Vikings put the hurt on the San Francisco Christian Trojans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday with plenty of help from Markegard, who had ten kills, six aces, and three digs. She has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last five times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Pescadero took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-11, 25-6.

Pescadero got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camila Rodriguez out in front who had six aces. Those six aces gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Estrella Rodriguez was another key player, getting five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Pescadero was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Francisco Christian only served two aces.

Pescadero's record now sits at 9-3. As for San Francisco Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Pescadero has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Mid-Peninsula on the 18th. As for San Francisco Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against KIPP Esperanza on the 18th.
