Baseball Game Preview: Northwestern Warriors vs. Indian Lake Lakers

The Northwestern Warriors will face off against the Indian Lake Lakers at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwestern has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 2nd.

Northwestern lost 18-4 to Graham Local on Tuesday.

At the plate, Brody Grimm was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Northwestern: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Caleb Filler, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Indian Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Northwestern by a score of 6-1 on Monday.

Indian Lake's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lane Kipker, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Kolton Cummins was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Indian Lake hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive contests.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Indian Lake, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
