Soccer Recap: West Mecklenburg Takes a Loss

West Mecklenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the North Mecklenburg Vikings, falling 9-1. West Mecklenburg were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

West Mecklenburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-15-2. As for North Mecklenburg, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5-2.

Looking ahead, West Mecklenburg will welcome Rocky River at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Mecklenburg will be up against Rocky River's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Mecklenburg, they will head out to square off against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
