Basketball Recap: Port Isabel Takes a Loss

Port Isabel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 44-16 loss at the hands of the San Benito Greyhounds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tarpons of the 34-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2016.

Port Isabel's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for San Benito, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Coincidentally, Port Isabel and San Benito will both be playing Hanna the next time they take the court. The Greyhounds will head out to face the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Tarpons will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
