Volleyball Recap: Anthony Wayne Victorious

Anthony Wayne played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against the Start Spartans by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Generals: when they faced off against the Spartans back in March, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Anthony Wayne walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21, 17-25, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Start lost, don't look at John Czyzewski. Despite the final result, he had 13 digs. Xavier Lopez also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.

Coincidentally, Anthony Wayne and Start will both be playing Springfield the next time they take the court. The Spartans will host the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Generals will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
