Recap: Seminole Seminoles vs. Mandarin Mustangs
The Seminole Seminoles and the Mandarin Mustangs squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Seminole Seminoles had to settle for second. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. It was the first time this season that Seminole let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Seminole had strong showings from Treyvin Clark, who rushed for 189 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and Rodney Grant, who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Mandarin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tramell Jones out in front who threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Tiant Wyche was another key contributor, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown.
Seminole's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Mandarin, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Seminole does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mandarin is on the road again on Friday and play against Monarch at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Monarch: 13.7, Mandarin: 17.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
