Basketball Recap: Stratford Spartans vs. Fulshear Chargers

Stratford and Fulshear squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Stratford had to settle for second. They fell 59-47 to the Fulshear Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Chargers are ranked 72nd).

Fulshear's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ruke Ogbevire led the charge by putting up 14 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.
