Basketball Game Preview: San Angelo Central Bobcats vs. Odessa Bronchos

The San Angelo Central Bobcats will challenge the Odessa Bronchos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in San Angelo Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when San Angelo Central took on Frenship on Friday. San Angelo Central fell to Frenship 75-69. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Odessa came up short against Permian on Friday and fell 58-50. While losing is never fun, the Bronchos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 595th, while the Panthers are ranked 156th).

San Angelo Central's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Odessa, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Everything went San Angelo Central's way against Odessa when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as San Angelo Central made off with a 69-49 win. Will San Angelo Central repeat their success, or does Odessa have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
