Softball Recap: McGraw Eagles vs. Hamilton Emerald Knights
McGraw has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamilton Emerald Knights. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Emerald Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Katie Millard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Terwilliger, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
McGraw's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Hamilton, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.
Looking ahead, McGraw will head out on the road to challenge Cortland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hamilton, they will host Adirondack at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Emerald Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
