Softball Game Preview: Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils vs. Canon-McMillan Big Macs

The Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils will take on the Canon-McMillan Big Macs at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Lebanon has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mt. Lebanon's offense. They came up short against Hempfield Area on Wednesday, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Canon-McMillan came up short against North Allegheny on Thursday and fell 7-3.

Canon-McMillan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Skylah Steban, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Kadence Merigo was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Canon-McMillan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mt. Lebanon, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Mt. Lebanon couldn't quite get it done against Canon-McMillan in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 12-8. Can Mt. Lebanon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
