After a string of seven wins, Alba-Golden's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 11-7 to the Hawkins Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-7 defeat on Tuesday.

Hunter Whitecotton and Boogie Trimble did some serious damage despite the final result: Whitecotton scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Trimble scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Trimble has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Christian, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Alba-Golden kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 14 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Alba-Golden's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Hawkins, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-5-1 record this season.
