Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hilton Head Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers. The Dolphins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Hilton Head Prep took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11.

St. John's Christian Academy was led to victory by Kylie Finley and Chandler Cumbie. Finley had 14 kills, seven digs, five blocks, and three aces, while Cumbie had 15 kills, seven aces, five digs, and one block. Cumbie is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.

Hilton Head Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for St. John's Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.
