Garden Valley strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They had just enough and edged out Varsity Opponent 44-42.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Garden Valley, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Gavan Pearce, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Garden Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Garden Valley will face off against North Gem at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Harmony School of Innovation on the 12th.
