Basketball Recap: Stevens Comes Up Short

Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat. They were dealt a 97-7 loss at the hands of the Brennan Bears. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Andrea Ortega, Maniah Allen, and Mikiayla Morris posted two points each. Delia Gonzalez held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Alyssia Murphy took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

It was another big night for Bella Flemings, who went 11 for 14 en route to 28 points along with eight rebounds and five steals for Brennan. Another player making a difference was Janea Walls, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 18 points and four steals.

Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 1-28. As for Brennan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Stevens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-11 loss against O'Connor on the 31st. Brennan has also already played their next game, a 52-32 win against Taft on the 31st.
