For Holdrege's part, Grayson Popple made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Popple was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Cam Waldo was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Holdrege's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-2 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Bailey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
