Baseball Recap: Neoga Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Altamont, Neoga was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Okaw Valley Timberwolves. The high-scoring effort was just what the Indians needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Carter Young was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Kanen White was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Neoga pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Okaw Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Neoga will host Christ Our Rock Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Silver Stallions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Okaw Valley, they will challenge Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
