Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lily Hennekes and Lucy Wright Lead Parkway South to Victory

Parkway South had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bunker Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Parkway South to victory were Lucy Wright and Lily Hennekes. Wright had six assists and four aces, while Hennekes had five assists and four digs. Those five assists gave Hennekes a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Parkway South was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matches.

Parkway South's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-2. As for Bunker, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1.

Parkway South has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Owensville on the 13th. As for Bunker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Bismarck on the 16th.
