Football Recap: Channel Islands Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Channel Islands extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were outmatched by the Westlake Warriors and fell 45-7. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 964th, while the Warriors are ranked 188th).

As for Westlake, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The match marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Among those leading the charge was Ford Green, who threw for 193 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes. Demanie Bell helped Green out on the ground, rushing for 50 yards and one score.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Channel Islands will face off against The Webb Schools at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westlake, they will square off against Venice at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
