Basketball Recap: Eads Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

If Cheraw wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eads, they should've done a better job of containing Anna Wollert. The Eads Eagles were the clear victor by a 49-23 margin over the Cheraw Wolverines on Friday thanks in part to Wollert, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alessandra Paez, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Eads has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Cheraw, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Eads and Cheraw's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Eads will challenge Kim/Branson at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, a team that's only allowed 26.08 points per game. Eads is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. Similarly, Cheraw and Las Animas (who has only given up 29.58 points per game) will meet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
