Basketball Recap: Longwood Comes Up Short

Longwood lost against William Floyd back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Longwood Lions fell 66-57 to the William Floyd Colonials. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Longwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for William Floyd, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Longwood Lions face off against the Walt Whitman Wildcats at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for William Floyd, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Half Hollow Hills East at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
