The Tulelake Honkers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Dunsmuir Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Anthony Loza, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Leo Leon, who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Dunsmuir's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Happy Camp, falling 68-19. Dunsmuir was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.
Tulelake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Dunsmuir, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-14.
Everything came up roses for Tulelake against Dunsmuir in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 66-31 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dunsmuir's Michael Kellar, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Tulelake still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
