Baseball Recap: Upper St. Clair Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Upper St. Clair ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the North Catholic Trojans 7-6. Seven seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Upper St. Clair is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Catholic, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Upper St. Clair beat the Trojans by a score of 2-1 later that day.
