Whitehaven waltzed into their game on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with an 87-80 win over the Memphis Central Warriors. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Warriors are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Memphis Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cardale Manuel, who posted 25 points. Another player making a difference was Jaylon Evans, who earned 23 points.

Whitehaven has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Memphis Central, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-6.

Whitehaven will face off against Memphis East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Memphis East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
