Soccer Game Preview: Dundee-Crown vs. Larkin

The Dundee-Crown Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Larkin Royals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Dundee-Crown is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They fell 4-2 to Mundelein on Tuesday.

Rylie Mensik and Ashling Otte scored both of Dundee-Crown's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Elgin. While losing is never fun, Larkin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Elgin are ranked 29th).

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Dundee-Crown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Dundee-Crown skirted past Larkin 2-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
