Basketball Recap: Thrall Comes Up Short

Thrall suffered their closest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Rogers Eagles by a score of 52-49. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 44-41.

Ariela Gutierrez had a dynamite game for Rogers, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Gutierrez a new career-high in steals (three). Another player making a difference was Alaina Mungia, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Thrall's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Rogers, their record is now 13-11.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing C.H. Yoe the next time they take the court. Thrall will host C.H. Yoe at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Rogers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
