Baseball Recap: Vilonia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Parkview last Tuesday, Vilonia came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Benton Panthers on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 9-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Vilonia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Breeding, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Vilonia's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Benton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-7.

Coming up, Vilonia will host White Hall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Benton, they will square off against Little Rock Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
