Softball Recap: Berkshire Takes a Loss

Jefferson Area hit Berkshire with a four-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Badgers fell 9-4 to the Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Badgers of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Berkshire saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Whitney Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, one run, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Berkshire and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Jefferson Area, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Looking ahead, Berkshire will be taking part in a tournament against Keystone at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Badgers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson Area, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 win against LaBrae on the 13th.
