Softball Recap: Tremont Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tremont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Fisher Bunnies 8-7. The Turks haven't had any issues with the Bunnies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Ava Berry, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

Tremont's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Fisher, they moved to 10-10-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tremont will take on Illini Bluffs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fisher, they will face off against Milford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bunnies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
