Baseball Recap: Monsignor Pace's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Dr. Krop last Tuesday, Monsignor Pace came back down to earth. The Spartans took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Somerset Academy Panthers on Wednesday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Monsignor Pace saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rudy Marichal, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Monsignor Pace's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Somerset Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-13 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monsignor Pace will square off against Stoneman Douglas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Somerset Academy, they will face off against Hialeah at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
