Hinsdale South extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 9-13-1 in the process. They never let the Leyden Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted against the Eagles since May 20, 2022.

As for Leyden, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

For Leyden's part, Jonathan Rosas was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Rosas also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Eagles are 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-11 otherwise.
