Softball Recap: Twin Lakes Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Twin Lakes barely beat Frontier the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians' pitchers stepped up to hand the Falcons a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Madalyn Bird made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Taylor Oliver and Quinn Gilford did most of the damage at the plate: Oliver went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run, while Gilford went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Oliver has posted since back in April. Morgan Rodziewicz was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple.

Twin Lakes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-17 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.3 runs. As for Frontier, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Coming up, Twin Lakes will be playing at home against Lafayette Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Frontier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
