Basketball Recap: Rockbridge County Takes a Loss

Rockbridge County lost against Broadway back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rockbridge County Wildcats came up short against the Broadway Gobblers, falling 54-34. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Gobblers are ranked 92nd).

Rockbridge County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Broadway, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rocktown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Broadway, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against William Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
