Baseball Recap: Four Corners Find Success

Four Corners proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 15) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Ridge Community Bolts. The win continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Bolts: they've now won four in a row.

Jose Malave looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mateo Torres, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Ronaldo Rivera was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Four Corners' victory bumped their record up to 10-5-1. As for Ridge Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
