Softball Recap: Junction Drops Season-High Score on San Saba

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Junction). They put the hurt on the San Saba Armadillos with a sharp 18-1 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Armadillos: they've now won three in a row.

Junction pushed their record up to 7-14 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for San Saba, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Junction will head out on the road to square off against Harper at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Saba, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Goldthwaite at 5:00 p.m. Goldthwaite will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
