Baseball Recap: Mandarin Takes a Loss

Mandarin lost against Atlantic Coast back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stingrays.

Mandarin got a good showing from Jack Nadeau, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, John Brooks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Randy Morillo also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Mandarin's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Atlantic Coast, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mandarin will take on Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atlantic Coast, they will challenge First Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Stingrays surely won't give up without a fight.
