Basketball Game Preview: Belleview Christian Bruins vs. Heritage Christian Eagles

Belleview Christian is 0-4 against Heritage Christian since November of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Belleview Christian Bruins will look to defend their home court against the Heritage Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Belleview Christian came up short against Non Varsity Opponent and fell 50-43.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Tara Polson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Rosiere, who posted eight points and 16 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Belleview Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian came tearing into Tuesday's game with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Bobcats to the tune of 67-11. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-6.

Heritage Christian's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.9 points over those games. As for Belleview Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.
