Softball Game Preview: Mount Everett Regional Eagles vs. Monument Mountain Spartans

The Mount Everett Regional Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Monument Mountain Spartans at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Everett Regional has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 14.

Mount Everett Regional fell victim to Wahconah Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 25-0 to the Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mount Everett Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliyah Creamer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Creamer has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Monument Mountain ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Lee 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since May 24, 2024.

Mount Everett Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Monument Mountain, their record now sits at 6-3.

Mount Everett Regional couldn't quite get it done against Monument Mountain in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 as they fell 9-5. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
