Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Region Thunder vs. Haines City Hornets

After both having extra time off, the Lake Region Thunder and the Haines City Hornets will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Haines City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lake Region, who comes in off a win.

Lake Region took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Lakeland.

Lake Region had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 22-25, 27-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Haines City was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Bartow.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-11.

Haines City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lake Region, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.
