Basketball Recap: Evansville Harrison Warriors vs. Evansville Central Bears
Evansville Harrison was the 68-51 winner over Evansville Central when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Evansville Harrison Warriors fell to the Evansville Central Bears 43-38. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly five points.
When it comes to explaining why Evansville Harrison lost on Thursday, don't look at Jay Summitt. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 10 on his way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Shane Sims was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.
Even though they lost, Evansville Harrison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.
