Recap: Notre Dame Prep Saints vs. Cactus Shadows Falcons
The Notre Dame Prep Saints can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 59-35 margin over Cactus Shadows. Winning may never get old, but Notre Dame Prep sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
It was another big night for Ava Pautz, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Brooke Nowak was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Notre Dame Prep's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. As for Cactus Shadows, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
Notre Dame Prep and Higley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Higley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Notre Dame Prep is ranked 20th). As for Cactus Shadows, they will head out on the road to square off against Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Horizon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Wednesday.
