Baseball Recap: Collinwood Takes a Loss

Collinwood extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-12 in the process. They came up short against the Wayne County Wildcats, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

As for Wayne County, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

For Wayne County's part, the team relied heavily on Logan Davis, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The Wildcats are 4-1 when Davis posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Stooksberry, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

As of now, neither Collinwood nor Wayne County have any future games scheduled.
