Softball Recap: Weldon Makes It Nine in a Row on the Road

Weldon put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Southeast Halifax Trojans with a sharp 17-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-1 on Thursday.

Weldon got a massive performance out of Jayla Webb, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Webb is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season.

Weldon pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Southeast Halifax, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
