Volleyball Recap: Cocke County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cocke County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights. The Fighting Cocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-7.

Cocke County's offense was headlined by Celeste McNealy and Kaylee Livesay, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Loretta Kickliter and her three assists.

Cocke County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Chuckey-Doak, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Cocke County and Chuckey-Doak will both be playing South Greene the next time they take the court. The Black Knights will head out to face the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Fighting Cocks will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
