Basketball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Bangor Christian Patriots 69-28. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Dexter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Doherty, who posted six points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bryce Cooper, who put up eight points.

Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Bangor Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Dexter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-34 loss against Schenck on the 31st. As for Bangor Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-32 defeat against Machias on the 31st.
