Basketball Game Preview: Louisville Leopards vs. St. Francis DeSales Stallions

The Louisville Leopards will take on the St. Francis DeSales Stallions in a tournament on Tuesday. Louisville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matches -- so hopefully St. Francis DeSales likes a good challenge.

Louisville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Northwest as Louisville made off with a 62-36 victory. The Leopards haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Louisville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Beau Siegfried, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 21 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. Siegfried continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tate Aljancic was another key player, shooting 64% from the field en route to 16 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Siegfried wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Louisville was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, St. Francis DeSales waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 51-36.

Louisville's record now sits at 20-5. As for St. Francis DeSales, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
