Curtis has gone 8-2 against Emerald Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Curtis had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Spanaway Lake on Friday. The Vikings were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Sentinels. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Sentinels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jonathan Garcia looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Harlan Carrillo was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Yanos, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Curtis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Emerald Ridge). They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Yelm on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Curtis' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Emerald Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
